Easy burst. Go practice on the golems. Build up life force and then go into shroud for the burst. It can teach some great pvp skills if you find you love the game mode. You will learn not to die. You can swing so many team fights as a reaper, but only if you are alive to win them. You will learn rotation.
Curse necro can run AP-MoP and mark targets for the ranger. This is probably the most fun active combination within the constraints you've given. Blood necro can run Orders, GDW, and probably resto. ER ele can run GDW. 3. HypatiaRising.

Sharper play and the right build are simply far more important than ilvl in this game. To illustrate the point, here's a video where I solo an HoT champion in level 60-65 blue/green gear on my weaver. At about 50%, another player enters, presumably geared in 80 exotic (or better) as most players in HoT are.

15 votes, 56 comments. true. thief crossed my mind but condi daredevil and condi specter are both really strong builds any easy to build with dd having great sustain because you are in evade so often and specter providing useful group support for free through barrier. power daredevil is in a bad spot yea but it happens to excel in the 2 fights where mag bombs exist. deadeye indeed might be
Anything but ranger is good for ranked. At this moment ranger can't find place in good teams and people prefer other professions. Don't get me wrong -the ranger can offer mediocre mobility and good burst dmg (but not sustainable damage), but in mobility and in damage (1vs1 or XvsX) there are a lot better options.
Necro is in my opinion definitely the most sustaining class for new players. I’ve seen lots of gaming parents also having their young children start with that, cause you basically don’t die as easily and having pets helps a lot. =D. I personally started with a Mesmer and it was fine too. Wouldn’t recommend though. 4.
Rangers can choose Druid from the HoT spec. and Soulbeast from Path of Fire. Druids can be one of the best healers in the game and are generally wanted in all endgame content. I would also suggest you try out a couple classes that sound good to you. You can create a class and go to the pvp lobby and have access to all level 80 skills and such.
Most people play the game because it is easier than others. Not because they want it to get harder/slower. It would not be a good idea to get people to train to use raid build to be able to enjoy open world - making the dps so low that without a raid rotation it felt "too slow".)
