Sounds like just a driver problem, now that you mention the install/uninstall loop. Try the following: Download the latest Realtek driver from MSI. Then disable internet by removing the LAN cable or turning off WLAN in Windows, then uninstall the current Realtek driver, and install MSI's Realtek driver. It will probably want a reboot to install. Make sure that your SPDIF device in Sound control panel is showing as "Realtek USB Audio" NOT " Realtek USB2.0 Audio ". After clicking "Change settings" , go to driver tab and select update driver, then select browse your computer for driver, and pick the model "Realtek USB Audio", which is the one that you download from MSI website.
